Donna Adams is an American Montessori Society (AMS) certified educator with over 30 years of Montessori experience and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University. She has multiple certifications including: infant/toddler, pre-primary (three to six), and elementary AMS certifications.
Donna founded and operated Crown Learning Center serving preschoolers and One to Grow On, an infant/toddler program in New Jersey for seven years before moving to Florida.
In Florida, Donna was the Director of Education at Bay Area Montessori School. She reviewed staff and curriculum and provided parent and teacher education. During her twenty years in education in Florida, Donna received several consulting jobs, helping to create Montessori schools in Bay County before leaving for Maui in 2013.
Mother of three and grandmother to five, Donna enjoys reading, travelling, and stand-up/fall-down paddleboarding (a unique sport she developed and perfected).
Danielle Adams is a certified medical assistant with First Aid and CPR certification, with Montessori training. She is pursuing her Child Development Associate Degree from Nova Southeastern University and is working on a Bachelor’s Degree in social work.
Danielle is a member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and has her Class D security license. She has always been an active part of the community, volunteering at CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) for several years. Nuturing is second nature to Danielle who is a ‘mother’ of three baby Nigerian dwarf goats.
When she’s not in the classroom, Danielle enjoys going to the beach and driving the road to Hana.
Donna and Danielle both attended-completed PATCH classes and as a life-long learners take continuing education classes through PATCH Hawaii.
Malama Montessori is licensed by the State of Hawaii.
